What do dental implants cost in Turkey, and what should the price include?

How implant prices in Turkey are built, why a per-implant price says little on its own, and what a written implant quote should name before you book.

How is the price of a dental implant made up?

An implant treatment has three parts: the implant itself (the titanium root), the abutment that connects it to the tooth, and the crown you see. On top come the 3D scan, any extractions or bone grafting, temporary teeth, and the time of the doctor and ceramist. A fair price names every part.

Many headline prices show only the first part. The crown, the abutment or the scan are then added after you arrive. That is why two quotes with similar totals can describe very different treatments, and why a low figure on a website tells you little until you see the written plan.

Why is a per-implant price not enough to compare clinics?

Because one implant can mean very different work. A price may or may not include the crown, a custom abutment, a bone graft, the 3D scan, temporary teeth or the second trip. Ask each clinic to list what is included for your plan, then compare like with like.

A useful test is to ask: “If I accept this quote, what else could I be asked to pay once I am in the chair?” A clear answer in writing is worth more than a lower first number.

Does the implant brand change the price?

Yes, and it is one of the things worth paying attention to. Established systems, such as the Straumann implants we use, have decades of published clinical data and parts that dentists in most countries can order. Lesser-known brands are cheaper, but repairs abroad can be harder if parts are not available.

Whatever brand a clinic uses, ask for it in writing, together with the implant size and batch number. You should leave with these details in your records, so that any dentist can look after the implant later.

What about the abutment and the crown?

The abutment can be a standard part or made for your mouth. The crown is usually zirconia or e.max ceramic. Who makes it matters too: crowns layered by hand in the clinic’s own lab can be adjusted at the try-in, while crowns sent away are harder to change on the spot.

For front teeth, where appearance matters most, the crown material and the way it meets the gum make a visible difference. For back teeth, strength usually comes first. Your doctor explains which material suits each position. You can read more in our guide on e.max or zirconia.

When is bone grafting needed, and how does it change the cost?

Only the 3D scan can tell. If there is not enough bone to hold an implant, it can often be built up before or during surgery. A graft adds material, surgical time and sometimes healing time, so it changes both the price and the schedule. A good quote says whether a graft is included or not.

The same applies to a sinus lift in the upper back jaw. If your first quote was made from photos only, expect the doctor to confirm these points after the scan, and expect any change to be explained and agreed in writing before treatment.

Why do implants usually take two trips?

An implant needs about three to four months to bond with the bone before it can carry a final tooth. On the first trip the implant is placed and you go home with a temporary tooth where it shows. On the second trip the final crown or bridge is fitted.

Both trips belong in the price you compare. Ask whether the quote includes the second trip’s visits, hotel nights and transfers. Our implant page shows a typical day-by-day plan.

What should a written implant quote name?

  1. The number of implants and where they go
  2. The implant brand, and that you will receive the batch details
  3. The abutment type and the crown material
  4. Who makes the crowns, and where
  5. The 3D scan, X-rays and every visit on both trips
  6. Extractions, bone grafting or a sinus lift, if needed
  7. Temporary teeth between the trips
  8. Hotel nights and transfers, if included
  9. Aftercare: how long, what is covered, and the conditions
  10. What happens, and what it costs, if the plan changes after the scan

Are there hidden costs with implants abroad?

There should not be. The plan can change once the doctor sees your 3D scan, for example if bone grafting is needed. That is normal, but the change and its cost should be explained and agreed in writing before anything is done, never discovered at the end.

Travel is the other cost to plan for: two return flights, and time off work. Most people work again three or four days after implant surgery; the doctor tells you what applies to you.

Where do our implant prices start?

Our starting prices are on the prices page, with what the written quote includes. Your own price comes after a doctor has reviewed your photos or X-ray, in a written plan that names the brand, the materials and every visit, before you book a flight.

Questions

Why do implant prices in Turkey vary so much?

Quotes rarely describe the same thing. The implant brand, the part that joins implant and tooth, the crown material, bone grafting, scans and the number of trips all change the price. Compare quotes line by line, not by the headline figure.

Is the implant price per tooth or per implant?

Usually per implant, and the crown on top is often priced separately. Ask whether the price covers the implant, the abutment and the final crown together, and how many trips and nights it assumes.

Does a cheaper implant brand matter?

It can. Established systems have long clinical records and parts that dentists worldwide can source for repairs. Ask for the brand in writing and keep the implant details in your records.
