What happens at the first visit?
Day 2 is about knowing exactly what will be done before anything starts. The doctor examines your teeth and gums, takes X-rays and scans, shows you a digital preview of your new smile, and confirms your written plan and price. It takes about two to three hours, and the rest of the day is free.
Day 1 is for arriving: a private transfer from the airport, and your coordinator meets you at the hotel the same evening.
How does the day start?
Your driver brings you from the hotel to the clinic. Your coordinator welcomes you and goes through a short health questionnaire with you: medication, allergies, past treatments, and anything that worries you about dental visits. This is a good moment to mention if you are anxious; we plan the day around it.
What scans and X-rays are taken?
Usually a panoramic X-ray of the whole mouth, and a 3D scan (CBCT) if implants or surgery are planned. An intraoral scanner then records your teeth in 3D, replacing the traditional impression putty. Photos of your face and smile follow. All of this is quick and painless.
If you have recent X-rays from your dentist at home, bring them. They help the doctor compare and can sometimes avoid repeating an image.
What does the doctor check?
The health of the gums, existing fillings and crowns, any decay, how your teeth meet when you bite, and signs of grinding. These details decide the plan: for example, gum inflammation is treated before veneers, and heavy grinding may change the choice of material.
What is the smile preview?
A digital design of your new smile shown on photos of your own face, and sometimes a temporary mock-up placed on the teeth so you can see it in the mirror. You look at shape, length and shade together with the doctor and the ceramist, and ask for changes. Nothing is permanent at this stage.
When is the plan and price confirmed?
At the end of the visit. The doctor goes through the written plan: which teeth, which materials, every visit, and the price. If anything differs from the plan you received before travelling, the doctor explains why. Nothing is added or changed without your written consent, and you are free to take time to think.
Is any treatment done on day 2?
Usually not, apart from a professional cleaning if it helps the next steps. For veneers, preparation starts on day 3. For implants, surgery is usually on the following day. This gives you an evening to think about the plan with everything explained.
What should you bring?
- Your passport or ID, and the list of medication you take
- Recent X-rays or reports from your dentist, if you have them
- Glasses, if you need them to read the plan
- A light breakfast beforehand; there is no need to fast on day 2
What happens after the visit?
You return to your hotel with a copy of your plan and the times of your next appointments. Your coordinator is on WhatsApp if questions come up in the evening. The Your trip page shows how the rest of the stay usually goes, and the veneers page a typical six-night plan.
